my name is laura and I’m an australian filmmaker living in newcastle. for the longest time I considered myself a photographer first and a videographer second, but after 10 years working with both mediums in the wedding industry, I’ve come to find my heart lies in filmmaking and could no longer ignore the call to focusing solely on creative story telling through motion.
when i’m not capturing weddings I’m either hanging with my husband B and our sweet kid Mali, or immersing myself in the worlds of interior design & drag queens. I froth for a good thrift find, a glass of malbec and my three dogs Moss, Zeppelin & Pablo.

wedding days can contain a range of high emotions and I hold space for those big feelings through an empathetic and quiet filming approach. the goal is to harmonise between editorial creativity and letting those moments naturally unfold, with the end result feeling artful, expressive, and tailored to yourself and your partner.
I work collaboratively with your chosen photographer in the lead up and on the day itself, and can offer timing advice and vendor recommendations to assist with the planning process.
